The Penguins of Madagascar - Skipper, Kowalski, Private, and Rico - are ready to start their next adventure! While Madagascar games based on the adorable Penguins are doing their rounds in the virtual world, what’s happening in the offline world? Well, here are a few Madagascar games for kids that you can include in the next kiddie party that you plan and salute the four sub-zero heroes! It goes without saying that these games are perfect for any Madagascar-themed party!

Musical chairs

‘Musical chairs’ is one of the most common party games among kids and adults. It’s generally a nursery rhyme or a kiddie song that’s played while conducting musical chairs at kids’ parties. Why don’t you replace the song with “I Like to Move It” from Madagascar and add a touch of the movie to the party? The groovy song might even break the kids into a little jig while they are going around the chairs!

Passing the parcel

Here’s how you can add an interesting twist to the classic game and convert it into a favorite Madagascar game among the kids! Instead of the regular songs, play “I Like to Move It”, just like ‘musical chairs’, and create penalties such as ‘move like Alex’, ‘talk like Skipper’, ‘walk like Marty’, ‘dance like Gloria’, or ‘run like Melman’! Trust us, ‘passing the parcel’ has never been this fun!

Pin the tail

Instead of having a donkey or a dog without a tail, why don’t you have Alex or Marty? Put up tail-less Marty and Alex, fin-less Skipper and Kowalski, or a hornless Gloria for kids to place their missing parts on them, while being blindfolded. The gifts for the winners must also be Madagascar-themed to complement the Madagascar game!

Piñatas

Have a Madagascar-themed piñata, instead of the regular ones, that depict other animated characters like Winnie, Mickey, or Donald. Make your own piñata at home designed as Gloria or Rico and the kids will be ready to burst them!

Scavenger hunt

Kids love scavenger hunts at parties! Touch it up with Madagascar by playing groovy African music, a la “I Like to Move it” in the background, and replace regular chocolates and candies with mosa, puff-puff, mukua, Pé-de-moleque, Chin Chin, Bonbon Coco, or Mtedza, all very popular African sweets. The hints that you hide can start with ‘Marty says …’, ‘Alex says …’, or something else that includes the Madagascar characters. How about making the cue cards in the shapes of penguins!

Madagascar charades

Make cue cards with names of animals that the kids will have to enact unless the others guess it. Besides having a penguin, giraffe, hippo, lion, or a zebra as the only characters on the cue cards, feel free to have other jungle animals too. When the children identify the animal that’s being enacted, have all of them stand up and re-enact it in unison!

We are sure these Madagascar games will bring alive the party and have the kids in the best of moods!
