Play these games this Thanksgiving

The Thanksgiving holiday maybe all about family, food, football and fun, but it also includes frazzled nerves, kids running around, pots simmering on the stoves, people walking in and out asking questions and you desperately wondering how everything will stay together over the holiday weekend.

Kids can entertain themselves, but sometimes fights break out and adults have to bring peace. There are always plenty of online games to play, but an actual physical game can be much more exciting to play. Here are 4 games you could try:    

1. The 'I ate...' memory game

All players sit in a circle. The first person starts with 'I ate this dish for Thanksgiving .'

The next person adds a dish. The person at the next turn, needs to remember all that the players ate in the order they specified it, before they state what they ate. The first person to get the list wrong has to exit the game. The last person standing is the winner. 

2. Hide the Corn

Hide the kernels of corn around the house. In a timed search, the winner is one who finds the most kernels. To make it interesting, use varieties of corn like popcorn or candy corn. 

3. Thanksgiving Trivia 

Make teams and get them to answer questions of Thanksgiving trivia. To make it more interesting, get eveyone to dress up in old world clothes. 

4. A Thanksgiving Crossword

Make two people teams. Give teams sets of words related to Thanksgiving. If you cannot come up with multiple sets, give all teams the same set. Now get them to build a crossword using these words as clues. Every team passes their crossword to another team for solving and they in turn get one for solving. The team which creates a crossword and solves another in the shortest possible team in the winning team.
