Spring is a great time to introduce kids to the great outdoors. Some kids might be a little under the weather if they are allergic to the pollen content in the air, but most just love it outdoors. As the cold recedes, get the kids to spend time outdoors. They could do their artwork outdoors or go for a walk. If they are a bunch of friends, let them play outside. Just make sure they are dressed suitably. The vernal equinox is a great thing to tak about at home. It's an introduction to spring which can lead to seasons and astronomy. Point out the new life which sprouts during spring and enjoy the spectacle. 

 

Plan on taking the kids to a national park or atleast explore a forest trail near your house. If you live in an urban jungle, find a green park. Kids need the sensory enrichment from nature. It's all free. Get them to climb trees, collect flowers, string leaves, pile up twigs, skip stones on water or just roll around on the grass!

 

Most of us have had a nice free range childhood. It's time we tried giving our kids a taste of that.
